With gas prices as high as they are, getting a credit card that pays you up to 5% back on all gas purchases sounds like a great deal. This can lower your cost of a gallon of gas from $3.50 to only $3.33 per gallon. That $0.17 may or may not make it worthwhile to get yet another credit card. And if the credit card has a high interest rate, then not paying the balance may cost you even more money than if you just paid for the gas with cash.
